All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Mrs. Willie Lou Wilson Mrs. Willie Lou Wilson of 2045 17th Street, Garland, died suddenly on January 20, 1978. Funeral services were at 2:00 PM, Sunday, at Sorrells and Sons Chapel in Greenville with the Rev. Grady of Garland and the Rev. Thomas of Greenville officiating. Burial was in Memoryland. Pallbearers were Cecil Teel, Ricky Lynch, Carl Shaw, J. W. Pinkerton, W. J. Clark, and David Strickland. Mrs. Wilson was born on August 27, 1901, in Texas, the daughter of George W. Devenport and Mary Davison Devenport. She was a domestic and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Garland. Mrs. Wilson lived most of life in Hunt County, having moved to Garland fourteen years ago. Survivors include her husband, Roy Wilson of Garland; two sons, Albert Wilson of Garland and Don Wilson of Marshall; three daughters, Elzene Dillon Celeste, Bessie Strickland and Idella Wilson, both of Greenville; three bothers, Lee Devenport of Weiland, Buster Devenport of Dallas and Marvin Devenport of Oregon; two sisters, Mae Long of Greenville and Gladys Watson of Garland; sixteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
