Mrs. Hunter has spent most of her life in the Lane community, having built the present home approximately forty-two years ago. Her son, Dee Hunter, has been with her since the passing of her husband, John Hunter, in 1952. Always active in church, club and community affairs, Mrs. Hunter’s interest in such has not lessened, though ill health has kept her more or less homebound. Visitors to the Hunter home always find a welcome and a spirit of cheer and goodwill. Mrs. Hunter especially enjoys her pastor’s visits from the Celeste Methodist Church, visits of former Lane pastors, and visits of other friends. The large family gathers at the home on many occasions during the year.
