Wanda Joyce Thacker
    Mr. and Mrs. Choice D. Thacker, Sr., RR 3, Celeste, Texas have announced
the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Wanda Joyce Thacker
to Larry Dee Rowell.  The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.. E.
B. Rowell, Celeste.
    The couple will exchange vows at a ceremony to be performed at half past
seven o'clock in the evening on Saturday, the 27th of August, 1960.  Scene of
the wedding will be sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Celeste.  The Rev.
H. B. Gideon will be the officiant.
    Miss Rita Gideon, Jeanette Gibson, Joyce Statzer, and Sydne Roach of
Celeste will present the wedding music.
    A reception at the school library will follow the ceremony at the church.
    The bride-elect is a graduate of Celeste High School in the class of 1960,
and is currently employed by a business concern in Celeste.  The prospective
bridegroom, also a graduate of Celeste High, holds a position with a Celeste
business firm.  (Both worked for Loves.)
    The couple plan to establish a home in Celeste following the wedding.
