LEWIS Anniversaries: The Celeste Courier, 11 August 1961, Hunt County, Texas CELESTE Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Lewis Honored on 50th Wedding Anniversary at Open House Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Lewis of Hillsboro, Texas, were honored on their fiftieth wedding anniversary by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Lewis, Jr., of Dallas, and Mr.. and Mrs. G. Y. Siddons of Fort Worth with an open house at the Robert F. Lewis, Jr., home Sunday afternoon, August 6, 1961 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis were born in Celeste and graduated from Celeste High School. Mrs. Lewis was the former Louise (Tot) England. They were married at the Methodist Church in Celeste. They lived for many years in Greenville before moving to Hillsboro where he has served for a number of years as County Judge. Guests were greeted at the door by honorees and hostesses. Miss Sue Siddons, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, registered the visitors. Mr. W. V. McRoberts served the cake and Miss Anne Norris poured punch. Both are nieces of Mrs. Lewis and live din Dallas. Mrs. Kennedy England of Dallas presided at the coffee service. Others in the house part were Mrs. Zella Jordan, Mrs. and Mrs. Jap Dennis of San Angelo, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Lewis of Houston, Mrs. Albert Norris of Celeste, Mrs. J. Leon Puckett, Mrs. J. E. Surratt, Sr., Mrs. Calanthe Bowman, and Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy England of Dallas.
