Gates, Judge of said Court: Now comes J. J. Jowers, the duly and legally appointed and qualified guardian of the person and estate of the said above minors and presents to the court this his final account and report and for such report says; I. That since he qualifies as such guardian there has come into his possession as the property of said minors the following property, to wit. That there was paid to him a Post Office Money order from on Whittley to the amount of---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------$1.25 One post office money order from T. W. Noblitt, of McKinney, Texas -------1.25 Collected from life insurance on policy on life of father of said minors in Home Relief Association, McKinney, Texas-------------------------------------$727.00 Cotton seed sold-------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------30.00 Wagon and team sold and money realized for same-------------------------------72.50 Total property received belonging to said minors--------------------------------$852.00 That since the appointment and qualification of your reporter as such guardian he has expended for the benefit of such minors the sum of-------------$1.736.85 all of which is shown by the itemized statement hereto attached and marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof. That this reporter has filed with the clerk of this court vouchers and receipts of all expenditures and here refers to same and makes same part hereof. Your reporter would show that for sometime prior to the death of the father and mother of these minor both of said parents were afflicted with the dread disease of consumption and were in such condition that they were unable to care for themselves and were destitute financially and that he, your reporter, is a brother in law of deceased. That your reporter expended money set out in said settlement for the care of said parent of said minors and to buy them, they dying, a few weeks apart and that after he collected the money, as herein shown, under the advise of the County Judge of Hunt County, Texas, he reimbursed himself out of the estate for such money so spent. Your reporter further shows that in the year 1912 he had take care of said minors out of the money belonging to their estate and that in that year all of the money belonging to the estate of the said minors had been consumed and said minors were still living with reporter continued to care for and support said minors out of his own money and estate up to the 20th day of November 1916 when they began to live to themselves and care for themselves. This report would show that while he has exhausted all of the estate of said minors that he does not claim any indebtedness from said minors and estate for the sum spent by him on said minors in excess of the amount of their estate. ----------------------------RECAPITULATION---------------------------------- Amount of money and property which came into the hand of the guardians the property of said minors------------------------------------------------------------------------ $ 852.00 Amount of money expended in interest of said minors-------------------------1,725.85 Your reporter further shows that he has no property belonging to his wards and that none of his said wards are now with him but that they have left him and that there is no further necessity for the guardianship of either the person or estate. Having thus fully reported and your reporter knowing of no further or other property belonging to said estate reporter prays that this report be received, examined and approved as his final report and that he be discharged together with his bondsmen and the guardianship both of the person and estate be closed.
