Fanning, deceased.  The application of Lenorah White joined with her husband J.B. White and filed on the 28th day of August 1882 shows unto your Honor that she has made application for permanent Letters of Administration on the Estate of W.W. Fanning deceased, that there is a large amount of cotton that will need picking and gathering before the next term of his Honor's Court and she asks that she be granted temporary administratrix until said time.     F.D. Fanning deceased, Lenorah White joined with her husband J.B. White has filed in the County Court of Hunt County an application for Letters of Administration of the Estate of W.W. Fanning decased which will be heard and acted upon by said Court at its next regular term to be begun and held commencing on the 3rd Monday in September 1882, at the Court House thereof in the Town of Greenville at which time all persons interested in said Estate may appear and contest said application if they see proper.     Witness A Cameron, Clerk of said Court and the seal thereof at office in the town of Greenville the 31st day of August 1882.  Recorded July 23, 1885.   OPPOSITION TO THE GRANTING OF LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION TO L & J.B. WHITE AND APPLICATION FOR LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION State of Texas County of Hunt In County Court Hunt County Texas, Term 1882, to the Honorable A.S. Marshall Judge of said Court, Sallie Fanning comes and herenow apposes the granting of Letters of Administration upon the Estate of W.W. Fanning to Lenora and J.B. White as prayed for in their application filed in said Court on the 28th day of August 1882, and files this her application for Letters of Administration to be granted her upon the Estate of said W.W. Fanning, and says:     1st  that W.W. Fanning is dead and that he died in Hunt County Texas on the 24th day of May 1882 and that he died intestate     2nd that he left some debts outstanding due the intestate and that he was owing some debts     3rd that he left both real and personal property of the probate value of Six Hundred Dollars.     4th that a necessity exists for an Administration in order that the debts due the intestate may be collected.     5th that this applicant is the widow of the deceased W.W. Fanning and that she is not disqualified for acting as administratrix wherefore she asks that letters of administration upon the estate of said decedent be granted her under the application of Lenora and J.B. Sallie Fanning was denied Letters of Administration.  Letters of Administration were granted by the court to Lenora & J.B. White.    INVENTORY AND APPRAISMENT Lenorah White and J.B. White temporary administrators of the Estate of W.W. Fanning deceased left surviving him five children to wit your administratrix Lenorah, Laura who is the wife of E.S. Addy who lives in Van Zandt County, Emma Fanning aged 12 yrs old, Isaac Fanning aged 10 yrs, James Fanning aged 5 yrs, the above are children of a former marriage.  He also left surviving heirs his present wife Sallie Fanning and one child Bettie aged about 3 yrs old, that said real property was acquired during the lifetime of his first wife the personal property herein mentioned is community property of said Fanning deceased and the said Sallie Fanning.  Said Community Estate owes about 800 or 1000 dollars.  We can not give an exact estimate at present.  That said cotton and corn and sugar cane is ungathered and likely to waste in the field.     J.B. Addy, guardian of Emma, Isaac & James Fanning    $75.50   NOTES BY TRANSCRIBER: - this comment lets us know who got custody of William's minor children (his daughter Laura & her husband) - by order of the court, Sallie Fanning.
