McDonald of said County and State, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs, while I have strength so to do, do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore by me made-- Item 1ST I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner, suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. Item 2ND I desire and direct that my just debts be paid without delay, by my executor to be hereafter appointed. Item 3RD I give, bequeath, and demise to my beloved wife, Mary N. McDonald, control of all of our property both real and personal, during her natural life, and then after her demise, I direct, and do give, bequeath, and demise to my Daughter Alice Roach, all of my undivided one-half interest in and to one hundred twelve (ll2) acres of land heretofore deeded by W. T. Roach and his heirs to J. F. Roach, J. A. McDonald, the land on which said J. F. Roach now resides, situated in Hunt County, Texas. Item 4TH I give, bequeath, and demise to my Daughter Beatrice Short, a forty-eight (48) acre tract of land, deeded to me by J. F. Roach and I. J. Ellard and wife, Julia Ellard, situated south of the above described 112 acres in Hunt County, Texas. Item 5TH I give, bequeath, and demise to my Daughter Ida Sparks my undivided one-half interest in and to seventy acres of land deeded by B. N. Hodges to J. W. Sparks and J. A. McDonald and situated on the west part of the Allen Harris survey in Hunt County, Texas. Item 6TH I give, bequeath, and demise to my son J. Frank McDonald, a thirty acre tract of land deeded to me by H. W. Butler and wife, being in the northeast corner of the Meridith Hart survey in Hunt County, Texas. Item 7TH I give, bequeath, and demise to my son Charles A. McDonald, a thirty-two (32) acre tract of land deeded to me by R. S. England, the same being a part of the Allen Harris survey in Hunt County, Texas. Item 8TH I give, bequeath, and demise to my Daughter Ruby McDonald fifty acres of and being part of the Meridith Hart survey and being our original homestead in Hunt County, Texas. Item 9TH I direct that at the death of my beloved wife all of my other real estate and personal property be sold, and the proceeds together with all monies that may be on hand at the time be divided as follows: Beatrice Short to have ($800.00) eight hundred dollars Ida Sparks (1,050.00) one thousand and fifty dollars J. Frank McDonald (131.00) one hundred and thirty-one dollars Charles A. McDonald (285.00) two hundred and eighty-five dollars, (or at prorato rate), and if anything remains over and above these sums then the overplus to be divided equally among my heirs. I hereby constitute and appoint my son-in-law, J. F. Roach, my sole executor of this my last will and testament, without bond for his due and legal performance of the same.
