Baird, hereinafter styled plaintiff, and complains of Ethel Baird, hereinafter styled defendant, and for cause of action plaintiff would respectfully show unto the Court: 1. Plaintiff is an actual bona fide inhabitant and resident citizen of Hutchinson County, Texas, and has been such actual bona fide inhabitant and resident citizen of the State of Texas for a period of more than one year immediately preceding the date of the filing of this petition; that he has been a resident citizen of Hutchinson County, Texas, for a period of more than six months immediately preceding the date of the filing of this petition; that the defendant is a resident of San Patricio, Texas. 2. That plaintiff and defendant are husband and wife, having been united in the bonds of matrimony on or about the 4th day of October, 1929 in Texas County, Oklahoma, and that they continued to reside together as husband and wife until on or about the 21 day of September 1942, when defendant without provocation or excuse left and abandoned the plaintiff; that during all of the period of their married life, the plaintiff conducted himself as a kind and loving husband, and provided for the wants of himself and wife in a manner and form suitable to their station in life, but that notwithstanding such treatment the defendant....
