All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************************* The Jacksboro Gazette Thursday, June 19, 1919 Old-TimersÕ Reunion Met The Jack County Old Settlers Reunion met at the Chautauqua pavilion in Jacksboro, Texas on 24 June 1919. Meeting called to order by W.C. Kutch, life honorary president. Minutes read by Thomas F. Horton, permanent secretary. T.J. Atkinson was elected vice president in place of G.M. Bowie, former vice president, new deceased. The chair appointed a committee of three: T.J. Atkinson, Ida Huckabay, J.R. Wood. The committee decided that any person, man or woman, who resided in Jack or any adjoining county for as long as 40 years ago or longer, whether a resident or not at Jack or any adjoining county at the present time, or any person, descendant by blood or marriage within the third degree of either or any of said residents, and of good moral character would be eligible for membership in this organization. Said committee also decided that the time of next meeting be fixed at same date as JacksboroÕs annual Chautauqua. Following is a list of those who registered at the time. B.S.
