Huckabay, on his return to his home from the fat stock show at Fort Worth, Mr. A.M. Lasater: ÒI met many of my old friends at the fat stock show. Met one Ôold timerÕ I had not see since 1863. His name is Curington and he used to live on Williams ranch near Black Springs, or Oran, as it is now called. Met seven old timers who said they would be at Jacksboro homecoming week if they were notified as to date of reunion. I met Mart Kinard and Mr. Gathings of Johnson county. You remember I sold a bunch of cattle to them about 20 years ago. Mart Kinard used to live near Uncle John WoodÕs place in Jack County, and he says he will come to the reunion if you will have Philip Sanders there. Phil is a brother of Mrs. Wolffarth, and an uncle of the Hensley boys. He lives at Lubbock. Write Philip a personal letter at once. Also, notify Oscar Lenglet and Mart Byrd. I will be in Jacksboro for that old timers meeting. Tell all my old friends I want to meet them there. A.M. Lasater.
