She came to Texas with her parents in early childhood. In Denton County, 7 September 1865, at the home of her father she was married to S.J.K. Hayhurst. She joined the M.E. Church with her husband about 40 years ago. One son John Hayhurst; daughter Mrs. Turner of Uvalde; step-son W.M. Hayhurst of Wellington; brother Sam Young survive her. Two years of ill health and months of suffering she is at rest. Almost her last request was that the Bible truths be read to her and that a song be sung. Post Oak News Rev. J.K. Hicks closed his meeting in Shannon. Rev. Davis closed his meeting at Prospect. Anderson Epps and family visited their parents, Mr. And Mrs. Epps and Mr. And Mrs. J.B. Brothers of Post Oak. Oscar Brown and Miss Rosa White of Sycamore were united in marriage 14 July 1912, Rev. J.K. Hicks officiating. Sheppard Coburn of Tennessee and Miss Leona Epps of Post Oak were married 21 July 1912, Rev. W.A. Davis of Buffalo officiating. Mrs. J.C.
