T.P. Miller of Stoneburg is assisting Rev. Hicks in a revival. Rev. Berry of Jacksboro was on his way to Antelope to begin a revival. Mrs. Harlan Mrs. Hattie Marshall of Dallas visited her brother, S.G. McRoberts of Post Oak. Mr. Manning stopped over in Jacksboro on his way home from Jermyn and talked with W.C. Kutch of Jacksboro. Mr. Kutch understood that he did not locate the grave of the ranger killed by the Indians in Los Valley. Mr. Manning intends to make another effort to locate the grave. He will get W.C. Hunt, an old pioneer who is now at Jermyn to assist him, provided Mr. Hunts health permits the trip. Mr. Manning intends bringing up the subject of raising the monument fund before the old settlers at their meeting in August at Decatur. At Staunton, Virginia on 20 November 1856, Rev. James R. Wilson joined in marriage James L. Wills and Martha Ann Lyle, the parents of our worthy townsman, H.A. Wills. The officiating clergyman was the father of Governor Woodrow Wilson of New Jersey, the Democratic nominee for President. Mr. Willis is just in receipt of a letter from a sister at Trevillians, Virginia, who, at Mr. Wills request, consulted the old family Bible The information set forth is a matter of record in the old Book. Bowie Cross-Timbers Mr. Wills was formerly a popular Jacksboro citizen, and he now has a niece, Mrs. Lyle Wills McClure, whose father was a brother of Mr. H.A. Wills. So Jacksboro people as well as those of Bowie are interested in this marriage performed by Rev. James R. Wilson, father of Governor Woodrow Wilson. J.A. Sauls and Miss Ina Woods of Pleasant Hill were married 11 August 1912, by Rev. D.J. Smith. H.A. Jackson and Miss Edna Chesser of Roberts Prairie were married 11 August 1912, by G.W. Fenter. Elbert W. Moore and Miss Oma Cooper of Jermyn were married 11 August 1912, by Rev. C.M. Sampley. Jacksboro Personals Tom Boz Will Mann visited his old home at Balsora. Mr. And Mrs. J.J. Atkinson visited relatives in St. Louis. Miss Marie Hackley and brother, Wade Hackley were at Ryan to visit their sister, Mrs. Gilbert Forester. Frank Haag of Andrews County visited his parents, Mr. And Mrs. E. Haag of Berwick. Mrs. Frank Aston and daughter, Miss Edna Aston of Bowie. Clark Bailey of Oran. D.W. Hightower, former member of the Jacksboro First Baptist Church is now president of the Baracas of College Avenue Baptist Church of Fort Worth.
