Jacksboro Mill & elevator Company soon after taking over the Jacksboro Electric Light plant last summer began overhauling the machinery of the Mill & Elevator plant with a view of enlarging the power capacity for putting on all day electric service. The first effective work looking to this place was placing an order with a Pennsylvania factory for a powerful engine for the plant preparatory to suing the same plant for the electric service that is used for the Mill & Elevator, thereby economizing on the expense of running. The engine was delayed for many weeks in the shop, it being said the rush of war materials. J.S. Wade, who purchased the ice plat and will overhaul it for next season. Just a bed of cannas on the spot of ground near the old Horton house, on north side of square, or on the ground where the Hensley livery stable once stood on south side, would be an addition. Mr. And Mrs. Otis Breech left for California where they will make their future home. Dr. Hughes of Bryson A.S. Jackson of Dickens was in Jacksboro. Mr. Jackson was formerly a citizen of Jack County. He has just sold his property where he now lives and will move to Arizona. Mr. And Rms. Bert Mars of Fort Worth visited Mr. And Mrs. Roy Jackson, Mrs. Mars parents at their ranch home in the Jermyn country and joined by Dr. Eastman, Jack Larry, and Mr. Dupree of Fort Worth to enjoy hunting. D.E. Armontrout of Dallas who owns property in Jack County was here.
