Kost, 78, died Friday, 14 June 1929, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.A. Worthington. Funeral conducted at the Jacksboro Presbyterian church by Rev. C.N. Wylie and burial in Oakwood cemetery. Professor Kost was a native of Missouri and was form more than 50 years identified with the musical life of St. Joseph. He was a graduate of Central Wesleyan College of Warrenton, Missouri and after graduating was professor at the college. For many years he was organist and choir director of Trinity Methodist church of St. Joseph. Since coming to Jacksboro in 1925 Mr. Kost has been director of the Harmony Club and choir director of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving: widow; 2 daughters - Mrs. C.A. Worthington of Jacksboro, Mrs. H.I.M. Lake of Los Angeles, CA; 1 son - Edward V. Kost of Los Angeles, CA; 2 sisters - Mrs. Lydia E. Krumme and Mrs. Emma H. Nahrung and a brother - John A.
