Robert Dennis having purchased the Jacksboro News plant, that paper will be consolidated with the Jacksboro Gazette. Mr. Dennis becoming a partner in the Gazette, buying a third interest, and he will take over the subscription list of the News. The News will be discontinued with this weekÕs issue. The Gazette will continue business under the same firm name of J.N. Rogers & Company Alice M. Rogers Joanna L. Rogers Business office on northeast corner of Public Square, Jacksboro, Texas. [The Rural Citizen was a rural newspaper that was brought to Jacksboro and eventually became the Jacksboro Gazette in 1880. The Jacksboro News began publishing in 1895 and consolidated with the Jacksboro Gazette on 1 October 1919. There are only a handful of known issues of the Jacksboro News in existence and only one issue known to be microfilmed.]
