Olive Baptist Church of Edna. The Rev. Lee S. Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at Hines Cemetery under the direction of Cook-Butler Funeral Home of Edna. Mrs. Callis died Aug. 11. Born Jan. 23, 1920, in Edna to the late Tildon and Rosa Lee Arnold Childs, she was a retired classroom teacher having taught 42 years in the Edna Independent School district and was a real estate broker for Callis Real Estate. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Edna. She was a graduate of Huston-Tillotson, Texas Southern University and College of The Mainland. Survivors include daughters, Beverly Jean Campbell and Cynthia Thornton, both of Texas City; a son, Dwight D. Callis, Needville; sister, Mary Harris, Edna; sister-in-law Buelah Callis, Edna; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Callis; and parents. Pallbearers are R.C. Callis, Altone Robinson, Leslie and L.C. Callis, Tommie Tyler, Alfred Hall, Lloyd Boston, Lucious James, Wayne Porter and Charles James. Honorary pallbearers are Hal Watson, Kenneth Dominique, L. Arthur Robinson, J.W.
