Interment was at Assumption Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Ganado Funeral Home. Mr. Cuellar died Dec. 20. Born Oct. 18, 1938, in Wharton to the late Arnulfo and Celia Cuellar, he was a Catholic and a Mason. Survivors include daughters, Phyllis Waddy, Wharton, Leonora Cuellar, El Paso, and Celia “Cookie” Dufrene, Des Allemands, La.; son, Israel Cuellar Jr., Rosenberg; brother, Hermilo “Joe” Duran; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded by parents; wife, Maria Zarate Cuellar; brothers, Adam Duran and Ismael Duran.
