Cuellar, 67, of Palacios, were held Oct. 27 at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado with Rev. Charles Dwomoh officiating. Interment followed at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado under the direction of Ganado Funeral Home. Mrs. Cuellar died Oct. 24. Born Feb. 11, 1934 in Goliad to the late Atanacio Zarate and Antonia Alanis Zarate, she was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Palacios. Survivors include: husband, Israel Cuellar, Palacios; daughters, Phyllis Waddy, Wharton, Leonora Cuellar, El Paso and Celia Dufrene, Des Allemands, Louisiana; son, Israel Cuellar, Jr., Rosenberg; sisters, Antonia Zarate, El Campo, Agnes Garcia, Palacios, Michela Olivarez, De Soto and Veronica Lachey, Tempe, Arizona; and brothers, Trinidad, Zarate, Edna, Atanicio Zarate, Victoria, Phillipe Zarate, Edna, Marshall Zarate, Ganado and Juan Zarate, Edna; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers include: Israel Cuellar, Jr., Joseph Cuellar, Jason Cuellar, Eric Waddy, Carlos Waddy and Phillip Zarate, Jr.
