Funeral services for James “Jim” Green of Edna were held Wednesday, 
July 4, 2001, at Peabody Street Church of Christ in Edna with Bruce 
Brigham officiating. Interment followed at Kerr Cemetery under the 
direction of Cook-Butler Funeral Home. 

Mr. Green died June 29. Born Jan. 21, 1938, in Edna to Alden Green Sr. 
and the late Louise Miller, he was a retired laborer and a member of 
the Church of Christ. 

Survivors include a sister, Leola Dennis, San Antonio; and a brother, 
Alden Green Jr., Houston. 

Pallbearers were J.B. Butler, Pat Edwards, Henry Edwards, William 
Mitchell and Anthony Ross.
