Janak Funeral services for Alta L. Janak, 62, of Bay City were held Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home. Interment followed at Cedarvale Cemetery under the direction of Taylor Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Janak died Jan. 18. Born Sept. 26, 1939, in Bay City to Mamie Henderson Ellis of Bay City and the late Ernest Andrew Ellis, she was a hairstylist. Survivors include daughters, Teresa A. Patek, Shiner, and Celeste Thompson, Round Rock; sons, Richard Janak and Glen Janak, both of Houston; sisters, Mary Medlin, Bay City, Betty Yarborough, Vanderbilt, Ida Curnutte, Livingston, and Kathy Anderle, Point Comfort; brother, Jack Ellis, Bay City; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Patrick Anderle, Andy Yarborough, Chris Janak, C.J. Howton, Ronnie Best and Jonathan Medlin.
