Frankie Jones 

Funeral services for Frankie Jones, 71, of Victoria, formerly of Edna, were held 
Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Scruggs United Methodist Church in Edna with the 
Rev. J.D. Brown officiating. Interment followed at Memory Gardens of Edna under 
the direction of Cook-Butler Funeral Home of Edna. 

Mr. Jones died Jan. 8. Born Sept. 24, 1930, in Edna to the late Wells and Emma 
Lee Haynes Jones, he was a truck driver for B&W Sand and Gravel and was a 
member of Scruggs United Methodist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hines Jones; daughters, Mary Ann Jones, Alice 
Prince and Linda Edwards, both of Edna, Joyce Earls, El Campo, and Vanessa 
Jones, Palacios; step-daughters, Yolanda Yvette Bennett and Crystal Annette 
Patterson, both of Victoria, and Titania Lynette Shing, Martinez, Ga.; sons, James 
Marvin Jones and Dennis Edwards, both of Edna, Freddie Frank Jones, Palacios, 
and Carroll Glenn Jones, Sweeny; stepson, Spencer Hines, Victoria; sister, Lois 
Callis, Edna; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
