Interment followed at Resurrection Cemetery in Victoria under the direction of Artero Funeral Home. Mrs. Mata died Dec. 29. Born April 10, 1925, in Edna to the late Jesus and Isabel Moya Nava, she was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Survivors include daughters, Debra Lopez, Edna; step-son, Ricky Mata, Victoria; sisters, Sophie Lara, Esther Valdez and Dale Gromer, all of Victoria; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank Mata; daughter, Diane Rodriguez; sister, Margarita De La Garza; and brothers, Jesse Nava, Dan Nava and Morris Nava.
