Danny Wilson officiating and the Rev. Howard Boyd assisting. Interment followed at Memory Gardens of Edna under the direction of Slavik Funeral Home. Mr. Quinn died Jan. 3. Born Dec. 22, 1914, in Edna to the late Monroe and Emmie Powers Quinn, he retired from United Gas Company as a compressor operator. He was a member of Baptist Temple of Edna. He and Elverter Rutledge Quinn were married at Vianna, Texas on Dec. 24, 1934. They were married 67 years. They both died Jan. 3, 2002. Survivors include daughter, Wilma Sless, Ganado; son, Leroy Quinn, El Campo; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson. Pallbearers were Joe Pesek, Bill Tipton, Jon Neumann, Glen Tate, Willard Cihal and Mike Dworaczyk. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons and granddaughters, Donna Foster, Steven Quinn, Emmie Lou Quinn, David Sless, Darrell Sless and Danny Sless.
