Schoener Funeral services for Lydia M. Schoener, 73, of Victoria were held Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Interment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria. Mrs. Schoener died Nov. 5. Born Aug. 12, 1928, in Victoria to the late Rudolph J. and Sidonia Charbula Zak, she was retired from Southwestern Bell and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Victoria. Survivors included daughters, Monica Lynn “Muffin” Brown, LaFayette, La. and Melanie Kay “Missy” Bandish, Victoria; son, Dale Wayne Schoener, Victoria; sister, Margaret Schobel, Victoria; brothers, James R. Zak, Inez, and Joe Zak, Sweet home; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Henry C.R. “Buddy” Schoener; sister, Elsie Weitz; and brother, Jerome J. Zak. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, Victoria.
