Storms, age 81 years passed from this life June 18, 1952 at Edna, Texas while visiting in the home of her Daughter, Mrs. Hobert Dunham. She was laid to rest in the Stockdale Cemetery after funeral services had been conducted by Rev. H. M. Smith of Kerrville and Rev Charles F. Bowes in the First Baptist Church of Stockdale were she was a member. Ada Savanah Caldwell was born in Kentucky on October 20, 1870. and was married to J. W,. Storms December 20, 1888. To this union was born four sons and three daughters. Three of the sons, Raymond Audrey, J. L. and H. H. as well as her husband the Rev. J. W, Storms proceeded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing: one Son L. W. Storms of Boerne, with whom she made her home, and the three daughters: Mrs. Hobert Dunham of Edna, Texas; Mrs. Gordon L. Rice of Houston, Texas; and Mrs. L. R. Smith of Stockdale, Texas; as well as 19 grand children and 33 great grand children. The following grandsons served as pallbearers; Owen Dunham, Audrey Dunham, Tommie Dunham, Gerald Storms, Lamar Smith and Larry Daniels. Her friends were numbered by her acquaintances and having lived in various towns in Texas as her husband served as pastor of some sixteen Baptist Church, she had formed many lasting friendships as was evidenced by the beautiful floral offering and host of friends who came to pay respects. Genuinely spiritual and altogether practical, deep in her convictions and fearless in expressing her views for the cause of righteousness she was a source of strength to those who knew her.
