Funeral services for Lorenia Wilkerson, 79, of Houston were held Friday,
July 6, 2001, at Metropolitan Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment 
followed at the V.A. Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Tracy’s
M.J. Santellana Funeral Directors, Edna. 

Mrs. Wilkerson died June 30. She was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Yorktown to 
the late Monroe and Ada Eldridge Lott and was retired. 

Survivors include sons, Walker D. Wilkerson, Victoria, Johnny Wilkerson, 
Harold Brown and Enoch Wilkerson, all of Houston, and Lee Wilkerson, 
San Antonio; sisters, Eleanor Cockrell, Houston, Mary Sanders, Edna, 
Lucy Logan, San Antonio, and Elizabeth Montgomery, Victoria; five 
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wilkerson; daughter, 
Flora Wilkerson; son, Clifford Wilkerson; and parents.
