Frank Sands Woodruff Sr. 

Graveside services for Frank Sands Woodruff Sr., 89, of Houston were held 
Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Memory Gardens of Edna under the direction of 
Oaklawn Funeral Home of Edna. The Rev. Susan D. Bear officiated. 

Visitation was Dec. 2 at the Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, 
Texas. 

Mr. Woodruff died Nov. 29 in Houston. Born July 7, 1912, in Anniston, Ala., to 
the late Frank Z. and Emmie Sands Woodruff, he was employed by E.I. DuPont. 
He was a graduate of Marion Military Institute and attended the University of 
Alabama. 

Survivors include a son, Frank Sands Woodruff, Jr; daughters, Bonnie and 
Carol Roberts; caregiver, Adele Scott; five grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothea “Chick” Woodruff; and parents.
