Michael O’Shaughnessy officiating. Interment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna under the direction of Slavik Funeral Home. Mrs. Zapalac died Oct. 30. Born April 17, 1904 in Hallettsville to the late Frank and Anna Janak Konvicka, she was a homemaker and a Catholic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Zapalac; son, Johnny Zapalac; sister, Annie Stacha; and brother, Frank Konvicka, Jr. Survivors include: daughters, Annie M. Chanek of Ganado and Julia Moore of Edna; son, George Zapalac of Port Lavaca; sister, Georgie Henke of Hallettsville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Richard Sturm, Mark Stump, Pat Veit and Steve Chanek.
