Officers Probe Death of Ogden. - LAKE CHARLES, La., Feb. 5. - Peace officers of 
Calcasieu parish were continuing today their investigation of the death of 
Cornelius Austin Ogden, 56, Kirbyville, Texas., citizen found dead in a ditch 
about a mile east of Orange, Tex., Wednesday night with a gash in his throat.

Working with peace officers of Texas, the local officials went to Kirbyville 
Thursday but had nothing new to report here today as to the cause of Ogden's 
death.

Ogden was last seen on the afternoon of January 12 waiting for the Kirbyville 
bus after having checked out of the Consolidated Steel shipwards, where he was 
employed.

Note: Cornelius Austin Ogden is buried in the Kirbyville City Cemetery, 
Kirbyville, Jasper County, Texas. Memorial # 54845535
