(Pat) Adams, 73, Jasper, Texas civic, religious and political leader, died at his home in Jasper recently, following an illness of several months that took a critical turn only recently. He was the father of Mrs. W. G. Strong of Maplewood. Married to Myra Trotti, daughter of the late Tom and Mrs. Trotti, at Lake Charles, December 10, 1905, Judge Adams and his wife, who survives him, had been looking forward to observing their 50th wedding anniversary at the year's end. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Jasper with Rev. M. M. White, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Clyde Woodward, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Besides his wife, survivors include, three daughters, Mrs. M. T. Walters, Tyler, Texas, Mrs. Garland Strong, Maplewood, Mrs. Bert Williams, Houston, Texas; three sons, T. Gilbert, F. P., Jr., and Abel Adams of Jasper, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Eddy, Beaumont, Mrs. J. Lee Jackson, Dallas, and Mrs. S. N. Cannon, Jasper; a brother, W. P. Adams, Port Arthur, and 15 grandchildren.
