Dougharty, 60, of Evadale died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Burial will be in Ford Cemetery in Newton. A native of Newton, he lived in Evadale 20 years, was a retired operator from Union 76, had been constable for Precinct 6 several years and was running as a candidate this year. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Pearl Dougharty of Evadale; three sons, Ralph Dougharty of Silsbee, David Dougharty and Gary Dougharty, both of Evadale; two brothers, Paul Dougharty and Woodrow Dougharty, both of Newton; three sisters, Myrtle Woods of Vidor, Dorothy LaHaye of Port Arthur and Ollie Harlan of Tyler; and seven grandchildren.
