Judge G. J. Goode. - 

Died, at his residence in Jasper on Wed., Oct. 5th, Judge G.J. Goode, aged 85 
years.

Judge Goode was one of one of our earliest settlers, and held the office of 
county judge a number of years before the war. He was an honest, conscientious 
man, always respected by his neighbors. He lost three sons in the war, and 
leaves but one living child, Mrs. A.A. Wood. His aged wife still survives him to 
mourn his loss. The sympathy of the News-Boy is extended to the relatives.
