(Jasper, Texas) Thursday, October 28, 1943, page 1 25 Years Ago From the Files of the News-Boy October 24, 1918 Dr. Hardy R. Hancock died last Friday afternoon at 2:10 at his home here, and was buried in the old family cemetery in the Peachtree community the next day at 4 p.m. Dr. Hancock was born April 11, 1855 and reared in this county. Except for a short time when he lived in a neighboring county, he lived his entire life here, where he practiced his profession. As a physician he took high rank, his ability being recognized by all his colleagues. He leaves a wife and eight children, two of his sons being in the service of their country, one of whom is in France.
