Mr. Hollamon was in Taylor late yesterday evening, and after disposong of the some cotton which he had brought to market, started at a late hour to return home. The night was dark and some distance from town Mr. Hollamon lost his way, and wandered around until he reached Turkey creek, where, thinking he had struck the right crossing, he attempted to drive down the bank. It provved that he was mistaken in the place, and the wagon he was driving was precipated over a steep bank, upsetting both the team and the wagon. Mr. H. was caught under the wagon and crushed to death. In the wagon was a small negro boy, but he was unhurt and remained with the corpse of his master until he was found by his friends this morning.
