(Marshall, Texas) Wednesday, December 04, 1968, page 3 Mrs. Starr. - Mrs. Mamie Gayle Starr. 83, of 108 Jasper Dr., died at Memorial Hospital at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday after an extended illness. The funeral services are to be conducted Thursday at an hour to be determined later at the Falbey Memorial Methodist Church in Wells. Interment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Wells. Arrangements are under direction of the Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors. Mrs. Starr had been a resident of Marshall two years. She was born on May 17, 1885 in Alabama, the daughter of Mrs. Lela Ella Hargrove Ward and Marion Oscar Ward, both natives of Alabama. She was the wife of Alonzo R. Starr, who died in 1966. She was a member of the Falbey Memorial Methodist Church in Wells. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Homer (S. E.) Sessions, of Marshall; one son, C. W. Dubose of Waco; three stepchildren, C. D. Dubose of Waco and J. R. Dubose and Decker Dubose of Wells, and two brothers, H. D. Ward and J. A. Ward of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
