The building was constructed in 1893 and was originally shared by the church and the Sandy Creek School. Church services are still held there on the first Sunday each month. The building was built on the original three acres designated as a "burying ground" by Samuel Goode when he sold the land in 1858. Today the church and cemetery are two separate entities. The church controls one acre of land, the old church building and a newer building where services are held. The old building is used as a fellowship hall. One thing is certain, when a local resident tells you he/she is going to "Seedtick" they are headed here. The community of Little Hope is affectionately known to locals as "Seedtick."
