Adams Deceased. It is ordered by the court that the said Will and testament of Samuel S. Adams deceased be admitted to probate on the evidence of P. H. Glaze one of the subscribing witnesses there and that the same be recorded. THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the name of God amen. I Samuel S. Adams of the State aforesaid and late resident of said County but now of Jasper County beleiving that the time alloted me is of short duration and wishing to make desposition of my effects. Do hereby make and execute this my last will and testament, as being of sound mind and fully impressed of the importance of this my last solemn act. FIRST: I commit my soul to God, and my body in case of my death, I wish to have sent to my family at Jasper for enterment. SECOND: I want and desire that all my just debts be paid - and the residue of all my property both real and personal of which am possesed to be subject to the care and sale of my beloved wife, with all its rents, interest and revenue for the equal benefit and use my dearly beloved wife and children, until they, my beloved children, shall reach the age of majority - at which time my will and desire is that it be divided equally between my wife Sarah E. and my son William Walter and my daughter Anna E. In testimony whereof I have signed this my last and only will and testamony at Beaumont State and county aforesaid in presence of B. F. McDonough, Sidney J. Sweet and Patrick H. Glaze lawful witnesses, this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord and Savior one thousand eight hundred sixty two. - S. S. Adams ADDENDUM - I do hereby appoint and constitute my father Abel Adams and my wife Sarah E. my lawful executor and executrix to administor allienate manage and control agreeably to my foregoing will and their best judgement as they shall think will best promote the interest and will profit and advantage of my heirs as aforesaid. Done and signed at Beaumont County Jefferson State aforesaid this 13th. day of October AD 1862. - S. S. Adams Witnesses: B. F. McDonough, Sidnet J. Sweet, PM Glaze I recomend Samuel W. Mellon to act in behalf of my heirs in the settlement of the partnership concerns of the late Eddy and Adams provided he will undertake the business. - S. S. Adams. Witnesses: B. F. McDonough, Sidnet J. Sweet, PM Glaze THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF JASPER Be it remembered that on this the 24th. day of November AD 1862 personally appeared P. H. Glaze to me known and one of the subsending witnesses to the foregoing will of Samuel S. Adams and being by duly sworn upon his oath says that the said Samuel S. Adams signed the same in his presence and acknowledged the same to be his last will and testament and that he said the said deponent is a residan Citizen of Jefferson County in the said State of Texas. IN THE ESTATE OF SAML S ADAMS DECD It is ordered by the court that Sarah E. Adams be and she is hereby appointed executrix of the estate of Samuel S. Adams deceased. An it is further ordered by the court that she enter in to Bond in the sum of seventy five thousand dollars for the faithful performance of said trust. IN THE ESTATE OF SAMUEL S. ADAMS DECEASED It is ordered by the court that J. S. Holland and P. F. Renfro and S. W. Millon be and theyare hereby appointed appraisers of said Estate, and it is furthere ordered by the court that a writ of appraisemnt be issue to them commanding them to appraise the same and report to this court.
