WARD Funeral To Be Held On Wednesday For Late John C. Ward. Funeral services for John C. Ward, who died suddenly some time Sunday night, will held at the late residence 1685 Park Street; at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. J.H. Pace, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate at the services, and the Blue Lodge and Knights Templar will hold services at the grave in Magnolia Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Pipkin & Brulin, funeral directors. Pallbearers will be Guy W. Keith, Harvey W. Gilbert, Charles M. Carroll, W.P.H. McFaddin, Jr., J.C. Harris, W.W. Kyle, Jr., P.B. Doty and L.B. Gough. Mr. Ward was 73 years old, but was still actively engaged in business at the time of his sudden demise. He was the president of the Texas Ice company and was one of the most prominent business men of the city, being at various times in the sawmill, ice and oil business. For a long time he was president of the First National bank, and was known as a capitalist. He was a member of numerous branches of Masonry.
