KYLE WARD'S RITES TOMORROW Lifelong Resident Was Member of Pioneer Family in Beaumont Funeral services for W. Kyle Ward, 69, lifelong resident of Beaumont and member of a pioneer Beaumont family, who died at his home at 1295 North Street yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock will be at will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Smythe Walden, 2565 Louisiana Avenue. Dr. T. A. Patterson, pastor of the First Baptist church, and Dr. W.W. Ferguson, pastor of the Calder Baptist church. will officiate. Burial will be in the family burial plot in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Pipkin- Brulin funeral home. Mr. Ward was the son of the late John C. Ward, pioneer Beaumont lumberman, and the late Mrs. Pickie Kyle Ward. He was at one time with the Beaumont Ice, Light and Power company, which was founded by his father, and later became the Gulf States Utilities company here. He was also at one time connected with the First National Bank and at the time of his death was employed by the Tinkle Furniture company. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clem Best Ward of Beaumont; three sons, Jerry Dalton Ward of El Segundo, Cal., Dr. W. Kyle Ward, Jr. of New Orleans, La., and Clarke Ward of Lake Charles, La., a daughter, Mrs. Walden; four brothers, J.S. Ward of Beaumont, Henry L. of New York, Carroll and King Ward of Beaumont; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Ward Kelso and Mrs. Seawillow Ward Stafford, both of Beaumont and four grandchildren. (1 column photo)
