Louis O. Aubey was born in Lafayette, La and came to Jefferson County at the
age of 8 with Moise Broussard after his mother and father died of yellow fever.
Born Dec 5, 1848 & died June 25, 1934
Mary "Polly" Hayes was born March 10, 1852 & died May 23, 1905
There are three different spellings for the Aubey name. Louis Aubey's father
who came to America from Beuzeville, France is listed as Victo Aube'.
Some of Louis Aubey's children have benn listed as Obey's.
