original date looks like April 6, 1953. The certificate was signed by the 
Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Jefferson County, Texas (cannot read name).

Additional Comments:
The death certificate states he died in the city jail but the cause is hard to 
make out. It seems to read "Accute _cholian ______ caused Accute cardiac 
D_______."
