I.O.O.F. Lodge Organized 1903

The I.O.O.F. Lodge of Anson was instituted May 9, 1903, and the following
officers were elected:

Z.B. Pirtle, Vice Grand
A.S. Howell, Secretary
A.D. Lively, Treasurer
L.N. Glaze, F. Secretary

Charter members taken in the first night were:

The lodge is now meeting over the Pittman building in the southwest corner of the
square.

A lodge was organized in Anson at an earlier date, it is stated, but was 
discontinued and all members returned to the State headquarters.
