The loss will probably be $30,000 or more, as gins come high, and the plant was a good one. The Stamford American Friday, October 17, 1924 New Funston Gin consisting of 5-80 Continental latest equipped buildings. They had ginned 900 bales. The splendid plant was put in by Roseman Bros. or Anson, ginners and Mr. J.A. Fleming. R.V. Colbert building a “home beautiful” for his residence R.V. Colbert, president of the First National Bank and one of the big ranchman of West Texas. He is ready to convert his air castle into a reality to adorn Stamford’s most popular thoroughfare, East McHarg. The contract is let to Benfanz Bros. of Abilene. Chas. Pate, Wichita Falls architect drew the plans. Mr. Fred Ryan, proprietor of the Value Store on the north side of the square, this week closed a deal with Mr. A. Jensen of Albert Lee, Minn.. Dr. S.B. Tadlock went to Fort Worth on business. He will be accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. F.B. Parks and little daughter, Annette, of Kansas City.
