E.P. Sharp of West McConnell community pulled 300 pounds of cotton in a day. P.H. Martin is putting in a new store and filling station, with free tourist camp yard, with water, shade and all convenience on Highway No. 18, half way between Stamford and Sagerton. The location is just north of and adjoining the Bunker Hill School house grounds. The enterprising proprietor is a son of N.E. Martin, of Sagerton. W.H. Wright, baker of Golden Cream and Golden Glow bread bought the Buy Low Grocery on the south side of the square. H.H. Corley was the former owner and moved the business there from north Swenson some weeks ago. The Stamford Floral Co. of which Mrs. Wright is proprietor will continue to occupy a part of the building. She’s been a florist so long that when a body thinks of flowers they think of Mrs. Wright. Mrs. Tom Jones of Anson passed away at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening and the body was carried to her home community cemetery for interment. She was 33 years of age and leaves a husband and small children to mourn her departure.
