The government pays a rental of $75 per month for quarters, so the building will be revenue producing from the first. Mrs. Gladys Jones of Tuxedo died Tuesday and was buried at Spring Creek Cemetery Wednesday with funeral at the Methodist church at Avoca with Rev. Fitzgerald of Anson and Rev. J.M. Youree of Stamford conducting. Barrow Furniture undertaking had charge. She was 23 years of age and leaves a husband and 2 small children to feel the great loss of mother. E.B. Monzingo of West Oliver street reports the death of his brother, W.H. Monzingo, at Loveland, Texas, on Nov. 18. He leaves a wife and six grown children. W.R. West of Hamlin passed away Friday. He was formerly connected with the Cotton Department of Bryant-Link Company and lived in Stamford. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Hamlin by the pastor at 11:00 Saturday with interment at the Highland cemetery north of town that afternoon with Barrow Furniture co. in charge. He was 57 years of age and leaves a wife and children to mourn his loss. Hambright Service Station will be the official and trade name of the filling station on the corner by the Methodist Church in future, as Frederick Hambright of Roby has leased the place and took it over first of the week. He has been conducting the Texaco station at Roby for 3-4 years. The editor knows Fred to be an energetic and industrious young man. You might tell the girls that he is handsome and unmarried. Little John Lee Watson, seven months old son of Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Watson, of the Post Community, passed away of congestion at the family home last Friday after a short illness.
