R.L. Penick to hold open house for old-timers of Jones County. Those who settled in Jones County prior to August 14, 1884, to meet in reunion at Lake Penick, August 14, 1923. I have also arranged with a photographer to be on the grounds and make a special group photograph of the party, one of which will be given to everyone who attends. I am sending this letter to 138 bona fide citizens of Jones County who can qualify on these conditions. W.B. Arnold family reunion at Bunker Hill. His married daughters and their families were present: Mr. and Mrs. A.N. McMillian and five children of Dundee; Mr. and Mrs. B.H. Bristoe and two children of Rule; Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Tribbey and three children of Rule; Mr. Robert Cole of Meridian; brother-in-law of Mr. Arnold and father of little Opal Hart, motherless baby girl being raised by Mr. Arnold and daughters, and his six children were there and with Misses Nevada and Annie Arnold, daughters of Mr. Arnold, the party was perfect. C.L. Rogers is moving into his new building. Uncle George Coleman, aged 88 years, of the Plainview community, passed away at the home of his son, J.W. Coleman on Thursday. Rev. Morrison conducted the funeral Friday after which burial took place at Highland cemetery, with C.P. Petty, undertaker for Penick-Hughes company in charge.
