Three more tests now drilling on that structure. New Colbert Test northeast of Town was spudded in Sunday. Carter Well under reaming at 1100 feet. On Friday night, July 17th, Mr. V.C. Curtis passed away at the family home of Bunker Hill after a lingering illness. He and his wife had come to the new home a month ago from Eastland county to join their three sons, Leon, Albert and Luther in residence here. He came to Texas 30 years ago from Georgia. He has lived a consistent Christian as a member of the Baptist church. At the time of his death Mr. Curtis was 72 years, 11 months, 5 days of age. Besides his wife and three sons he leaves two daughters Mrs. May Rich of Eastland county and Mrs. Bertie Simpson of Young County. Funeral conducted at Highland cemetery Saturday afternoon with interment.
