J.A. Taft is in Birmingham to ship out two of the Crump round bale gin compresses, one to the Douthit and Gillespie gin at Avoca and the other to a Hamlin gin. Ed Wakefieldís new cafe on East Hamilton, which he calls the White Kitchen, opened for business. Tom Dancer is opening a four chair barber shop in the basement of the Victory Cafe, recently vacated by the Basement Barber Shop. Tom was with the City Shop for a long time but went to Dallas with John Damron to work in the Santa Fe Barber Shop on the 10th floor of the Terminal Building. Mrs. E.O. Hood, of Stamford, and Mrs. Lula Hood, of San Angelo are in St. Loiuse to open a new store, Mrs. E.O. Hood & Co. in Mrs. Hoodís building on the north side, where the Value Store was located.
