A new brick addition to the Texas Service Station, corner of East Hamilton and South Ferguson Streets, is being erected. The station is operated by Leonard A. Carlton and Roy Carlson. Mrs. Jerry Barrow, mother of A.B. Barrow, owner of the Barrow Furniture Company, died at her home in Hico, last Saturday at 11 a.m. Funeral was held Sunday at 3 p.m. Mrs. Barrow was 69 years of age. She was the grandmother of W.O. Thompson of the Barrow Furniture company. The Pennant Service Station has been purchased from J.L. Rucker by J.G. OĆ­Keefe, who comes to Stamford from Hemphill. The station is located at the southeast corner of the public square. Mrs. D.C. Ham of Lueders died on September 6. She joined the church in 1914. She was 34 years of age at the time of her death. Interment was made in the Lueders Clear Fork cemetery, Deceased is survived by her husband, Denver Ham and three children: Margaret, Woodrow and Cristine.
