New building will occupy property recently purchased by the company on the corner of East McHarg and Wetherbee streets, and will cover a ground space of 25 by 160 feet. In addition, the new office building will erect a new, modern ice plant with a large tonnage capacity to serve the city and adjoining points. Juanita, the two month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Edwards of Tuxedo, died at the family home last Saturday night. Body of the infant was laid to rest at Tuxedo Sunday afternoon at 3:00 by the undertaking department of the Barrow Furniture Company. R.F. Townsend of Cross Plains buys Ford Agency in Stamford from W.M. Harlan on October 1. Mr. Harland retains the name of the Stamford Motor Company. Mr. Harlan has held the Ford agency here since 1920. He suffered a stroke of paralysis three years ago and has never fully recovered. Oscar Butler is moving from Cross Plains along with Mr. Townsend. The infant son of Dr. and Mrs. Q.D. Gould, died at the Stamford Sanitarium last Friday night. Rev. M.B. Harris, pastor of the Christian church conducted the funeral service at the home Saturday assisted by Rev. J.M. Youree of the Presbyterian church. The child was only two days old at the time of death. Undertaking department of Barrow Furniture in charge. J.S. Starkey, about 64 years of age, died at his home here last Saturday night at 11:00 after a long illness with heart disease. He had been a cripple due to injuries received in a fall from a wagon. Funeral services held at the home Sunday afternoon at 4:00 with Rev. J.M. Youree, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Services at the grave in Highland cemetery were in charge of the Woodmen. Barrow Furniture in charge. Survived by his wife, two sons: L.D. Starkey of Stamford and W.O.
